Privacy Policy Consent
The website www.jillori.com ("Website") and its content are owned by Jill and Lori Young, doing business as Jillori ("Jillori," "we," "us," or "our"). "You" refers to anyone who visits or uses this Website. By using the Website, you agree to this Privacy Policy, and any information you provide to us is handled according to its terms.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We will not use or share your information except as described here and in our Terms of Use.
By using our Website or its content, you consent to this Privacy Policy, whether or not you have read it.
Information We Collect
We collect information you choose to give us, and a limited amount of information collected automatically when you visit the Website.
Newsletter signups. When you subscribe to our email list for Love in Full Color, we collect your name and email address.
Contact form. When you contact us about a wedding or premarital mentoring, we collect the information you enter, which may include your name, your partner's name, email address, phone number, wedding date, wedding location, the package you're interested in, how you heard about us, and anything you tell us about the two of you.
Podcast guest applications. When you apply to be a guest on Love in Full Color, we collect the information you enter, which may include your names, email address, city and state, relationship status, your story, topics you'd prefer we not bring up, your video preference, social media handles, a link to a photo, and your typed signatures agreeing to our guest release.
Clients. If you book a ceremony or premarital mentoring with us, we also collect the information needed to plan and deliver your services, such as your wedding details, family and cultural traditions you want reflected in your ceremony, your vows, your answers to the 12 Conversations reflection questions, notes from mentoring sessions, and the information needed to sign and file your marriage license. Mentoring sessions are recorded and transcribed with an AI notetaker so we can support you accurately, as described in "Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools" below. We will always tell you before a session is recorded.
Payments. When you pay a deposit or balance, payment is handled by the third-party payment service you choose, such as Stripe, PayPal, Zelle, or Venmo. Those services collect and process your payment information under their own privacy policies. We do not store your full card or bank account numbers.
Other communication. If you email us, message us on social media, or comment on our posts, we collect the information included in that communication so we can respond and keep a record of it.
Providing information is voluntary. If you choose not to, you may not be able to use certain parts of the Website or our services.
Sensitive Information
Jillori serves couples marrying across race, culture, faith, and identity. Because of that, information you share with us through our forms, in mentoring, or while planning your ceremony may reveal your race or ethnicity, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, or gender identity, or those of your partner and family.
We use this information only to respond to you, to plan and deliver the services you ask for, and, for guest applications, to consider you for the podcast. We never sell it, and we never use it for advertising. You decide what to share, and you can ask us to delete it at any time, as described below.
Premarital Mentoring Privacy
What you share in premarital mentoring stays with us. With your permission, Lori may share information with Jill that gives her helpful context for your ceremony. Nothing from mentoring becomes public unless you choose to make it part of your story or your ceremony.
Premarital mentoring is educational and reflective. It is not therapy, and Jillori is not a healthcare provider.
Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools
Jillori is an AI-forward business, but we never outsource our humanity, judgment, or critical thinking. We use artificial intelligence ("AI") tools to work faster, and every ceremony, message, episode, and piece of content we produce is reviewed and edited by Jill and Lori before anyone else sees it. This section explains how personal information is handled when AI tools are involved.
How we use AI. We may use AI tools to:
- Record and transcribe premarital mentoring sessions, so Lori can focus on the two of you instead of taking notes
- Draft and edit your ceremony, based on the conversations we've had with you
- Write content, produce and publish podcast episodes, and design graphics
AI service providers. These tools are provided by third parties that act as data processors on our behalf. Information shared with them may include session recordings and transcripts, notes from our conversations with you, and the details you share for your ceremony. They process this information only to provide their services to us.
Recordings stay private. Mentoring recordings and transcripts are used only to deliver your mentoring and plan your ceremony. They are never published or used in marketing.
Recording consent. We will always tell you before a session is recorded. If you'd prefer a session not be recorded, tell us and we'll take notes by hand instead.
Model training. We configure the AI tools we control so that your recordings, transcripts, ceremony details, and personal information are not used to train AI models. We do not sell your information to AI companies or anyone else. We do not control the policies of third-party AI providers beyond the settings available to us.
Your rights. The rights described in this Privacy Policy, including your right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, apply to information processed with AI tools. To make a request, email hello@jillori.com.
Podcast Guests
Love in Full Color is a public podcast. If you record an episode with us, what you say during the recording, along with your names, voices, images, and likenesses, may be published on podcast directories, YouTube, jillori.com, our email newsletter, and social media, as described in the guest release you agree to when you apply. Your application answers and any topics you ask us not to bring up are kept private and are used only to plan your episode.
Photos and Testimonials
We publish testimonials, and photos of couples we work with, only with their permission. If you give us a testimonial or photos to share, you can ask us to remove them from the Website at any time.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your questions and inquiries
- Plan and deliver the ceremony and mentoring services you book with us
- Send the newsletter and podcast updates you signed up for
- Consider and schedule podcast guests
- Keep records needed for legal, tax, and accounting purposes, including filing marriage licenses

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Email and the CAN-SPAM Act
We only email you if you subscribe, contact us, apply to the podcast, or book our services. Every newsletter clearly identifies us as the sender and includes an unsubscribe link. We comply with the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003.
Cookies and Automatic Data Collection
Our Website runs on Ghost. Ghost uses cookies to keep newsletter subscribers signed in and to make the Website work. We may also use Ghost's built-in analytics to see general information such as which pages are visited, and to count visits. This information is used in summary form to improve the Website.
Our Contact and podcast guest forms are provided by Google Forms, and embedded content from Google or other services may set its own cookies under those companies' policies.
Advertising. We don't run ads today, but we may in the future. If we do, we may use tools such as the Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, or Google Ads. These tools use cookies and similar technology to measure how our ads perform and to show our ads to people who have visited our Website. We may also share email addresses from our list with advertising platforms, in a protected (hashed) form, to show our ads to people on our list or to people with similar interests. We will never use the sensitive information described above, or anything you share through our forms, in mentoring, or while planning your ceremony, for advertising. You can opt out of personalized ads through your browser settings, through the ad settings on those platforms, or by emailing hello@jillori.com.
You can accept, decline, or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the Website may not work as intended without them. Our Website does not respond to Do Not Track signals sent by your browser.
How Information Is Stored and Shared
We store and process personal information using trusted third-party services that act on our behalf, including:
- Ghost (our website and newsletter platform), which stores newsletter subscriber names and email addresses
- Google Workspace (email, Google Forms, Google Sheets, and Google Drive), which stores form responses and our communication with you
- Payment services (Stripe, PayPal, Zelle, and Venmo), which handle deposits and payments
- AI service providers, including an AI notetaker that records and transcribes mentoring sessions, as described in "Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools"
We share personal information only as needed to run these services, to complete something you asked us to do, or if required by law. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that it's necessary to comply with the law, to protect our rights or property, to enforce this Privacy Policy or our Terms of Use, or to protect the safety of others.
If Jillori is sold, merged, or reorganized, including when it is formally registered as a business, your information may be transferred to the new owner or entity, which will continue to be bound by this Privacy Policy.
The Website and the services we use operate in the United States. If you visit from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may not have the same data protection laws as your country. By submitting information through the Website, you consent to this transfer.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, plus any time required for legal, tax, or accounting reasons. Newsletter subscribers stay on our list until they unsubscribe. Inquiry and guest application details are kept while we're in touch with you and for a reasonable time afterward. Client records, including marriage license information, are kept as long as legally required. If you ask us to delete your information, we will, unless we're required to keep it by law.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including secure (SSL) connections on our Website and reputable service providers with established security practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a data breach that affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.
GDPR (European Union Visitors)
If you are in the European Union, we process your information on these grounds: your consent (for example, when you subscribe to our newsletter), to take steps you've asked for before entering into a contract with us or to perform that contract (for example, responding to an inquiry about our services or delivering them), and our legitimate interest in responding to you and operating our business. You may withdraw consent at any time.
California Residents
We're based in California. California residents may request to know what personal information we've collected about them, request that we delete or correct it, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. If we run ads in the future, using advertising cookies or sharing our email list with ad platforms may count as "sharing" under California law, and you can opt out at any time by emailing us. We will not discriminate against you for making any of these requests. To make a request, email hello@jillori.com.
